What they needed
SmartTime is a watch shop: wristwatch sales, laser engraving and repairs, from a battery change to a full service of a mechanical watch. Most customers come from their phones.
They asked three things of the online store:
- a watch catalogue that is easy to filter, choose from and order on a phone,
- dedicated pages for engraving and repairs, with prices and a description of the process,
- appointment booking on the site, so customers do not have to call for a service.
We built the store on WordPress and WooCommerce, and we maintain it.
A watch catalogue made for phones
On 1 Oct 2026 the store has 538 products, 522 of them wristwatches, from 17 brands: Casio, G-Shock, Seiko, Fossil, Festina, Lorus, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss and others.
Customers narrow the choice by category, price, brand and gender, sort by price, popularity or newest, and can add a watch to the cart or take a closer look without opening a new page. Next to the official image, the product page shows photos of the watch taken in the shop, so customers see the real piece, not only a catalogue shot.
Engraving and repairs as services, not just text
Engraving and repairs have their own pages. On the engraving page, customers see what can be engraved, how an order goes step by step and what it costs. The repair page has a price list of the most common services, from a battery change to a full service of a mechanical watch, and explains how the assessment works and how long a repair takes.
That way customers know what to expect and what they will pay before they come to the shop.
Booking without a phone call
On the Book an appointment page, customers choose a service, for example a battery change, engraving or a repair, then a free day and time, enter their details and confirm. Only free slots are offered.
The same booking form sits at the bottom of the engraving and repair pages, so customers can book right away, while reading about the service.
Google reviews on the site
The home page shows the shop's Google reviews, with the customer's name and a note that the source is Google. On 1 Oct 2026 there were 35 of them. Customers who do not know the shop see what people who already bought a watch or brought one in for repair say, without leaving the page.
What we recommend to shops that add booking
From the SmartTime work we picked a few things that apply to any shop with services:
- Put booking where customers read about the service. At SmartTime the form is at the bottom of the engraving and repair pages, not only in the menu.
- Write a price, or at least a starting price, next to each service. A customer who sees that a battery change costs 10 KM (about 5 euros) does not need to call to ask.
- Set the duration of every service. A battery change and a mechanical watch service do not take the same time, so their slots should not be the same either.
- Keep all appointments in one place. If you also take bookings by phone, enter them in the same calendar, so two customers never overlap.
Checkout and maintenance
The store has secure checkout, customer accounts and pages for delivery, returns and terms of sale. We take care of updates, security and the changes the shop asks for.
Questions
Can booking work for my business?
Yes, for any service that has a duration and a slot: repairs, salons, clinics, workshops. We need a list of services with duration and price, opening hours and who takes the appointments.
Can the store and booking be on the same site?
Yes, as with SmartTime. A customer buys a watch and books an engraving in the same place, without moving to another site.
Does the shop need a large catalogue?
No. Booking also works on a simple company website without a store, and a store can start with a few dozen products.
